ABSTRACT: Observations of gravitational lensing effects offer a unique way to study the matter distribution and the geometry of our Universe. Detailed numerical simulations are required to understand their statistical and systematic uncertainties, to accurately interpret their results, and to maximize their utility. We use ray-tracing through large high-resolution simulations of cosmic structure formation to study strong and weak gravitational lensing and their impact on other cosmological probes.
