My research involves the use (and development) of computational methods to understand strongly correlated and material systems.
I am interested in problems ranging from the qualitative understanding of model systems to ab initio calculations of real materials.
Systems of specific interest include frustrated magnets on layered materials, quantum glasses, non-equilbrium quantum transport and dynamics,
mesoscopic phases, and supersolids. I have also developed methods to improve variational ansatz for electronic structure calculations
allowing efficient calculation of wave-functions with tens of thousands of determinants.
