I study topics in climate dynamics including the general circulation of the atmosphere, tropical meteorology, and hurricanes from a theoretical perspective. This work is motivated by future and past climates of Earth as well as the broader range of possible planets, such as exoplanets. My aim is to develop climate theories that expose the physical mechanisms underlying the changes in systematic numerical experiments that I perform with various climate models.
